Description: Out on a photography boat adventure, I had the chance to capture an incredible sight at the White Island Lighthouse. There were hundreds of birds, almost like a swirling cloud, encircling this historic beacon in the Isles of Shoals. Standing since 1820 and rebuilt in 1859, this 85-foot tall lighthouse is a significant piece of New Hampshire's maritime history. Now under the care of the Bureau of Historic Sites, it's not just a structure, but a living scene where nature meets history. The sheer number of birds in the shot adds a stunning, lively dimension to this New England landmark.
